Spa-Like Primary & Refreshing Guest Bathroom Remodels

After previously partnering with us a few years ago on their kitchen and downstairs hall bath remodel, these homeowners returned when it was time to reimagine both their upstairs primary and guest bathrooms. Their existing layouts were awkward, the plumbing needed to be gutted, and the fixtures had long since become outdated. With a vision to create a spa-like retreat in the primary bath and a fresh, budget-conscious update for the hall bath, we were able to deliver two distinct spaces.

A Spa-Inspired Primary Bathroom

The primary bathroom was the homeowner’s pet project because they’d been planning it for a very long time. They wanted to mimic the feeling of a spa every time they walked in. So starting from the ground up (literally), we installed heated flooring throughout, including the shower floors and even the bench!  The centerpiece of this space is undoubtedly the custom steam shower. We relocated the shower from the other side of the room and doubled its size to maximize comfort. Its floor-to-ceiling glass enclosure, slanted ceiling for water runoff, and wall-to-wall illuminated niche bring both practicality and elegance. Carlisle Alabaster 24×24 matte tiles wrap the space in warmth, accented by Bambusa Creme wood-look tile on the shower’s feature wall and behind the Kohler smart toilet. Adjacent to the shower, the freestanding tub and filler are perfect for those relaxing evenings.

The custom furniture-style Mouser Penbrooke white oak vanity is fitted with oversized pulls for a bold statement. A fun fact about the pulls is that they are actually kitchen appliance pulls since those are the only ones that get that big! The vanity countertop is Taj Mahal quartz, and above it is a recessed Kohler medicine cabinet mirror with Capital Lighting sconces on either side to complete the refined look. The result is a sanctuary that the homeowners are thrilled to finally enjoy.

A Budget-Friendly Guest Hall Bath

The hall bathroom, primarily used by the children, balances affordability with style because the homeowners wanted to go all out with their primary bathroom. But looking at the finished project, you’d be none the wiser. It features Bambusa Bianco tile floors set a bright foundation, while a pre-formed tub base is paired with Wellfleet Eucalyptus tile for a refreshing splash of color. Delta fixtures in champagne bronze add a timeless touch, while a custom Mouser white oak vanity with tapered feet brings warmth and character.

The statement piece of this bathroom is the expansive mirror framed in the same material as the countertop, Emerson Gold quartz. This not only elevates the design but also creates a practical ledge for everyday items. Finally, Kichler Farum sconces round out the space, ensuring it feels modern, functional, and inviting, without straying from the budget-conscious plan.

A Tandem to be Reckoned with

Together, these two bathroom remodels reflect thoughtful design tailored to both the homeowners’ lifestyle and aesthetic goals. The primary suite delivers a spa-like escape, while the hall bath provides a stylish yet practical update for family use. Both spaces showcase the homeowners’ trust in us to transform their vision into reality once again.
