Full Job Description:

Quality Design & Remodel is an award-winning home remodeler in Delmar, NY, looking to hire a full-time (M-F, 7 AM – 4 PM) skilled carpenter/remodeler. Compensation starts at $32-$36 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the carpentry work on each project, including pre-planning, drafting, material ordering, construction, and finish phases (demolition and plumbing are handled by separate crews)
  • Read and interpret building plans, sketches, and blueprints to understand project requirements
  • Build door and window frames, stairways, rafters, and partitions
  • Calculate, shape, cut, and smooth materials with precision
  • Complete finish-carpentry work to the highest standard of detail and quality
  • Determine appropriate materials and supplies for each project
  • Keep the job site organized, clean, and safe for the whole team
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers on timelines and task progress

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of residential carpentry or remodeling experience
  • Strong measuring and math skills
  • In-depth knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
  • Excellent hand dexterity and the physical stamina the work requires
  • A positive attitude and a collaborative mindset
  • Valid driver’s license
