Make Room for this Kitchen Remodel

Sometimes, a successful kitchen remodel is about finding ways to make an existing space work better. For these homeowners, that meant transforming their outdated kitchen into a beautiful, functional space with one feature they had always wanted, a kitchen island.

Making Room for an Island

The original kitchen featured a peninsula that separated the cooking area from the adjacent dining space. While the layout was functional, the homeowners dreamed of replacing the peninsula with an island, something they weren’t sure their kitchen could accommodate. By rethinking the existing layout and carefully considering the available space, we were able to replace the peninsula with a beautiful central island, creating a more open and inviting kitchen without completely reconfiguring the room.

A Fresh Look with Timeless Details

The updated kitchen features a striking two-tone cabinetry design, pairing crisp white upper cabinets with rich, dark-stained lower cabinets. White countertops with delicate gray veining provide a beautiful contrast, while a white herringbone tile backsplash adds texture and visual interest throughout the space.

Warm brass-toned hardware and plumbing fixtures complement the cabinetry, while decorative glass pendant lights above the island introduce another layer of character. Open wood shelving, undercabinet lighting, and floor-to-ceiling cabinetry surrounding the refrigerator complete the design, balancing style with practical storage.

A Dedicated Home Office

Beyond the kitchen and adjacent dining area, the homeowners had an existing space they already enjoyed using as an office. Rather than changing its purpose, they wanted to make it feel like an intentional, permanent part of their home.

Our team created a custom built-in workspace featuring two desk areas, generous drawer storage, and tall open shelving. The warm wood finish and dark shelving back panels give the office its own distinct personality. The result is a thoughtfully updated kitchen and home office that deliver exactly what these homeowners were looking for!
