We’re excited to welcome Sydney to the Quality Design & Remodel team as our new Design Consultant!

Sydney joins Quality in a unique role that combines two important parts of the remodeling experience: helping potential clients learn about QDR and determine whether we’re the right fit for their project, and working directly with clients through the design and selections process. To help you get to know the newest member of the Quality Team, we sat down with Sydney to talk about her and her new role!

Tell us a little about your role at Quality Design & Remodel.

“My position is a bit of a hybrid between client discovery and design. I meet with potential clients early in the process to learn about their project, explain how Quality works, and determine whether we’re a good fit. And I work with clients on the design side, helping them develop their project, make selections, and coordinate the different elements that bring the finished space together. The hope is that some of the clients I meet during that initial consultation will continue working with me through design, so I’ll have the opportunity to be part of their project from start to finish.”

What has stood out to you about Quality so far?

“One thing I really like is that we’re essentially a one-stop shop for everything a homeowner needs. Everything is under one roof at the Design Center, so clients can come in, look at different materials and selections, and see how everything works together. In my previous positions, clients might have had to visit multiple places, borrow samples, or try to mentally envision how different selections would look together. Having so many resources here is great for our clients, but it’s also a great resource for us as designers.”

What made you want to become part of the Quality Team?

“In my previous position, I worked for a wholesaler, so I was one piece of a much larger puzzle. I could help customers with products and some aspects of design, but I didn’t always get to see what happened with the project afterward.

Here, I have the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire process. I can see where a project starts, be part of the design, work with our project managers and production team, and eventually see the finished space in person.

I’m excited to learn more about how all those different pieces work together and to be more involved in a project from start to finish.”

Any fun facts that you want to share with people?

“I grew up in the Adirondacks, so I enjoy spending time outside. I’m also a big reader and enjoy cooking and baking. I swim laps, love spending time with my family and friends, and when I’m home, I’m usually hanging out with my boyfriend and my two cats.”
