Today, we sat down with Kevin, who has been with us for a little over half a year now. We wanted to discuss his experiences, challenges, and joys since joining the team. So, let’s dive in and get to know his perspective on our projects, his job, and QPM.
What’s been your favorite part of the job so far?
“The normal hours. I used to work 60 to 70 hours a week because things were a little hectic, and jobs would always pop up. But now it’s consistently 40 to 45 hours, which is a breath of fresh air.”
Has there been any job you’ve been particularly proud of?
“I’m trying to think… there was a really nice kitchen. The one with all the trim work on the ceiling and a hidden walk-in pantry… Poplar, that’s it! I liked doing the woodwork for that kitchen. I did all the base and shoe molding. A lot of the trim work. I got to do a lot on that project, and it came out really nice.”
Do you miss anything about a previous job?
“I miss being my own boss, but I don’t miss all the hassle that comes with, you know, having to do everything.”
What’s the biggest difference between Quality PM and other companies you worked for?
“It’s definitely, probably… no definitely the best company I have worked for by a lot. On the job, I have everything I need. And whatever I didn’t have, I asked for, and it’s been gotten for me. And like I said, the work-life balance is great. I get to get home to my family and spend more time with them.”
