Please welcome Ryan to Quality Design & Remodel as our new Journeyman Electrician! This marks an exciting step forward for our team, as this is a brand-new role for us. And it’s one that reflects how we continue to grow and elevate the level of service we provide. Ryan will play a critical role in supporting our projects with expert electrical work, helping ensure every remodel is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

How did you become an electrician?

“I started my career in the military as a C-130 Electrician for 5 years. Then, once I had my family, I left the military and became an apprentice electrician. Since I grew up in Clifton Park, I came back here to live and work. It’s been a few years now, and it’s been great so far. Especially since my plan was to have a position in the military that would translate well in the private sector.”

What’s your favorite part of your career?

“The new inventions that come out every year keep the work I do fresh. Like now smart technology, like switches, are being used a lot, and it’s more interesting to learn how to program those than to install regular ones all day.”

Why’d you want to join Quality?

“I’ve worked with you as a sub for the past three years. And I did a lot of work on the Design Center. There are good people here that I liked working with, and it just so happened that the timing for the opportunity to join the team worked out.”

Any fun facts that you want to share with people?

“My wife, son, and I are big into monster trucks. We travel all over to go watch shows and collect the mini figures. We love going early to the show’s Pit Parties to meet the drivers and look at the trucks.”
